The onset of summer in the mountain town of Durango, Colorado inches a bit closer with the announcement of the artist lineup for the Durango Blues Train on May 31 and June 1. The Durango Blues Train is excited to kick off it's 9th year rockin' and rollin' aboard the the historic Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad with Brandon Santini, Ally Venable Band, Brody Buster, Smokestack Relics, A.J. Gaither OMB, and Alex Paul.
Artist Spotlight: Talking With 2018 Telluride Blues Challenge Winner Alex Paul
Each year the Durango Blues Train’s sister event, the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival hosts Telluride Blues Challenge inviting undiscovered and unsigned solo blues talent to test their skills against a field of blues musicians. In addition to other prizes, the champion wins a spot on the following year’s Durango Blues Train. The 2018 Telluride Blues Challenge winner is Alex Paul and he is is set to perform on the May 31 and June 1 Durango Blues Train.
2019 Tickets Go On Sale February 13
2019 is off to a great start as we look forward to the 9th summer of blues on the rails aboard the Durango Blues Train. This year’s Durango Blues Trains will take place May 31 & June 1 and August 16 & 17. Tickets for the June Blues Trains are set to go on sale February 13th at 10 am (MT). Tickets will be available here. Tickets are very limited and will sell out in advance with Saturday going first. Tickets are $119 per person per night plus a historic preservation fee of 7%. Tickets for the August Blues Trains will go on sale March 13th at 10 am (MT).
